It has recently come to light that NASCAR was quietly lobbying for the passage of healthcare reform. This is especially true for the drivers, which have contributed hundreds of thousands to the lobbying effort. For the drivers know what it was like in France before they instituted universal healthcare. For prior to that, it was common for health insurance companies to deny the drivers coverage, claiming that they had a Prix existing condition.
